Before You Return Your Product...
Our technical support engineers are trained to troubleshoot your application problems. Please feel free to call them at 303-426-4521 to see if they can assist you, before you return your product. If you do need to return your product, Technical Support will issue you an RMA number.
RETURNS & RESTOCKING CHARGES
- All products returned for credit must be returned undamaged and unopened in the original packaging within 30 days of shipment.
- All products returned for credit are subject to a restocking fee. The current restocking fee is as follows: 20 percent of the current list price.
- Certain consumable items are not returnable for credit. These include: software on any media, custom or semi-custom products, hard disk drives, batteries, fuses and opto modules.
REPLACEMENT POLICY & CHARGES
Replacements may be offered for non-warranty items that are determined to be non-repairable. Component and board–level parts are invoiced at our current rates. Labor and repair charges for CORE SYSTEMS are priced separately. Please call 303–430–1500 for information on our CORE SYSTEMS.
NO DEFECT FOUND (NDF) CHARGES
Charges will apply in the event that no defects are found on warranty or non-warranty items returned for repair. NDF charges are as follows: $105.00.
RUSH REPAIR CHARGES
Rush repair charges are for a 48-hour turnaround and are as follows: $150.00 plus standard repair charges.
STANDARD REPAIR CHARGES
Once we have repaired the product, we contact you with the repair charges. We require a P.O. for all repair charges prior to return shipping on the product. Charges for NON-WARRANTY repairs are as follows: $125.00/hour, not to exceed the cost of the product.
WARRANTY REPAIR
- From the date of purchase: 3-year warranty for board-level products; 14-month warranty for enclosure systems.
- For products under warranty, Octagon will repair or replace any defective component part, free of charge.
- For resale items like displays, we extend the manufacturer's warranty to one year.
- Batteries, fuses and opto modules are not accepted for repair.
- If your product is found to be defect free (NDF), you will be charged a service fee.
ADDITIONAL CORE SYSTEMS CONDITIONS:
Octagon understands that the end users of the CORE Systems line of products will need/want to alter their systems for their final configuration. Octagon recognizes that some of these alterations will be done for convenience or proprietary reasons.
Customers must notify Octagon Systems technical support prior to any and all alterations and customizations of their originally configured systems. This will provide Octagon with a better understanding of the usage of its systems and any/all issues that may arise from the alteration/customization. Octagon in no way assures the alterations/customizations will work and the decision to proceed is the sole discretion of the customer.
Octagon strongly urges any/all additions to their CORE Systems only include PC104, PC104+, Mini PCI or Mini PCI Express adapters internal to the specific system. Any alterations to the CORE system components may result in operational failure and subsequently void warranty coverage.
Each Octagon system is tested in its final configuration prior to delivery to customer using Octagon software. Any systems returned to Octagon for repair that have been altered from its original configured state will result in the addition of the original software for testing. As a result, any settings added/altered by the customer may be lost. It is suggested that each customer backup a copy of their settings prior to sending the unit in for repair. In some cases it may be necessary to remove certain new hardware configurations to bring the system back to its original configuration in order to make it functional.
Octagon will not be held responsible for any damage of non-operating customizations in these cases. Any configured items added to the system will not be tested and Octagon will not be held responsible for the operation of customer additions that were not part of the original sale configuration. It is the customer’s discretion to remove any/all customized configurations prior to sending the unit to Octagon for repair.
Any damage done to the system while alteration/customization is taking place will void any warranty. It is also mandatory for any and all work being done to these systems be completed in ESD (electro-static discharge) safe environment to prevent any shock damage, which will also void the warranty.
