Hardware:
The PC–680 is a Pentium SBC packed with industrial grade I/O, ideal for embedded applications. The low–power Mobile Pentium processor operates in high temperature environments with little or no ventilation. The high-performance PC I/O–like video and 100/Base–T Ethernet operate from the PCI local bus.

Operating System:
Standard PC architecture supported by compatible operating systems.

Expandable:
The PC–680 has USB and Ethernet, using the industry–standard Intel 82559 10/100 Base–T for full compatibility with all operating systems. There are six serial ports, configurable to RS–232/422/485; digital I/O; and video.

The I/O can also be expanded through the PC/104 port.

Rugged:
The CPU provides enough computing power for virtually any embedded application, while operating in extreme temperatures (–40° to 70° C operating range) and under heavy shock (40g) and vibration (6g).

The low-power requirements make the PC–680 suitable for situations where battery life or heat dissipation is a concern.
